Choosing a makeup artist for your wedding

Your wedding day is one of the most important days in your life and choosing the right makeup artist is a very important decision. Every bride deserves to look beautiful and feel confident, you have chosen a stunning dress, an amazing photographer but to complete the look, investing in a professional experienced artist is key. Clare offers a luxury wedding service to her bridal clients and works along side some of the UK’s top Wedding Planners. Her vast experience working with celebrities in fashion, TV and film, means she is able to create many bridal looks from natural elegance, sophistication, to vintage chic. Once your makeup is applied, it will last from morning through to the evening and photograph beautifully. She is also an expert in bridal makeup for more mature brides providing skincare consultations and advice at trial appointments.

Clare offers both makeup and hair bridal services. For large sized bridal parties she will require the assistance of several colleagues - top celebrity hairstylists and makeup artists. As an experienced artist, Clare also offers a Tattoo Camouflage service to her bridal clients.

PRICES

A quotation will be supplied upon enquiry, please ensure you supply the information stated above. Makeup prices are from £150 for trial consultations and for the wedding day, from £330. This does not include hair or travel expenses.

BOOKING

As a professional and experienced makeup artist Clare’s schedule is often booked up months in advance and even takes bridal bookings for the next year, especially for wedding’s during peak wedding season (April – September). Therefore if you have set a date and would like Clare to do your makeup, please do enquire to check if she is available. To secure Clare’s services for your wedding date you will be required to complete a booking form, agree to the booking terms & conditions and pay a booking fee.

MAKEUP TRIAL AND CONSULTATION

Once you have booked Clare’s services, a mutually agreed trial date and time will be arranged. Trial appointments are scheduled two to three months in advance of your wedding date and held at Clare’s makeup studio in Surrey. Should you wish for Clare to travel to you for your trial, an additional charge will be made. Please note that makeup trials cannot take place during the evening, due to poor natural lighting and Clare prefers her clients to see their makeup during daylight.

The consultation for makeup only is two hours and for hair and makeup, please allow up to four hours. Each bride is asked to bring any ideas with them to the trial, or create Pinterest board with looks that they like. Alternatively if you don’t have any ideas, Clare will discuss options and different looks. She will take time to get to know your wedding in detail, from your dress, colour scheme, Wedding theme and your personal makeup style. Passionate about good skin care, Clare will also provide advice on how to achieve amazing skin for your wedding day. She will then create a bridal look tailored to your requirements, ensuring that your natural features are enhanced in every way.

Before and after shots will be taken as well as a written client record. After the trial consultation, she will compile a scheduled timetable for your makeup application.

DESTINATION WEDDINGS

Clare also offers her professional makeup services to brides getting married overseas. She will ensure that your hair and makeup will last during the day through to the evening regardless of the climate. Clare is able to travel worldwide, and if required, Clare can will engage with trusted colleagues to accommodate larger wedding parties.

Clare can liaise with your wedding planner/organiser to ensure the day runs smoothly. Travel, accommodation costs and expenses must be paid by the client.

PRODUCTS USED

Clare’s makeup kit is extensive and only contains the highest quality luxury cosmetic products such as Charlotte Tilbury, Illamasqua, Urban Decay, Cosmetics A La Carte, Tarte, Too Faced, Trinny London, Hourglass and Huda Beauty.

Clare is also able to cater for vegan clients using a wide range of Vegan cosmetics and makeup brushes. She is an expert in skin care and is able to treat sensitive skin using her extensive skincare knowledge and range of cruelty free natural skincare.
